Last year, I decided I want to find my soulmate online. I had avoided taking this drastic measure for several years but it seemed like everyone I know, including friends and co-workers, are signing on, creating profiles, and finding that special someone online. If they can do it, why can’t I?
Looking for the Right Notes
Life and the notes on a sheet of music are both similarly rhythmic. Even though the people may come and go, you are eager to at some point, to hear the whole concerto. I knew that when I could find that special someone, the missing notes in my life would be found. Finding your soul mate can have the enduring effect of adding a rhythm to your life.
Being new to the world of internet dating, I was hesitant about sharing my personal information, while looking for a soul mate online. I wasn’t sure of how to draw the attention of people. Neither was I sure of how much to share about myself. To identify the best way to handle them, I started reading methods used by other users which have proven successful. What I found was truly inspiring and gave me real inspiration.
I was to soon find out that I wasn’t the only first timer being skeptical out there. The first time Cynderella and her current husband met was in a chat room. Furthering my search for my soul mate caused me to stumble upon Mark’s story. Mark was still in college when he met H2O. While his friends and he were surfing the internet a pop up came onto their screen promoting an online dating site. They decided to explore the site as a joke.
That same night Mark’s friends made a bet with him. Mark was to find a date online within a month, if he succeeded his friends would wash his athletic gear for a whole year thereafter. Mark decided to take them up on their offer.
Mark created a profile and chatted with several women but most were offended when he explained the bet. “I wanted to be upfront about the bet so it would not be an issue later on,” stated Mark in his success story.
Mark’s despair grew and hopes of success withered as the month end drew nearer. He would be washing the gear for not only himself the rest of the year – he would also be washing his friends’ gear.
Two days before the end of the month Mark happened upon a profile and photo that caught his interest. He wrote her an email, she responded immediately and before they knew it they were chatting the whole night. H2O lived in a nearby town and Mark set up a date to meet her at a local movie theater. The bet seemed irrelevant to her. ”She has an incredible sense of humour” according to Mark. “Within 6 months of having started dating we knew we never wanted to be without each other. She’s my fiancé now and we will be married in 2010.”

While trying to find true love I was led to great success stories, but it also showed me the problems you can face if you are not careful. Mad4You met a man on the internet who seemed perfect for her. She says, “I couldn’t believe that we had so much in common.” I was really attracted after a few chats,” says Mad4You. However, a problem that she did not expect was to arise. Nothing stops a person who claims to be divorced from a previous spouse from being married now!”

It was on an internet dating site that Yellowtutu met the man of her dreams. She was a single mom with 3 teens. Digthis, in turn, had 2 sons from his previous marriage. They chatted and communicated for months before letting the kids know.
