If a congressman writes to social security admin on your behalf does it really make a difference? pls read?
Ive asked several questions about my social security situation but i am wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen or same situation…
brief as possible here- i was approved for SSD in august 2007, my lawyer soon paid afterwards the MAX amt he is allowed and I am STILL awaiting my ”back pay ” check. They are paying back to date i applied in 2002 so its a good chunk of money. My congressman here in VA after i wrote to him sent a letter to my supervisor at local SSD office here in va after xmas….and then last week after i wrote again he sent a letter and when i looked at copy he sent it was sent to washington dc office- not my local ssd office…..i was told my ”claim” is being processed at the baltimore payment center and the check is coming but does it speed things up/ make a difference if the congressman writes on your behalf???
thanks im desperate for this check as i need to repay some family loans, pay my past due bills and get a pt cruiser / car

Logically you would think yes! But the bureaucracies are so dam inept/slow its a night mare no doubt!
So many Gov’t employee’s see their supervisors & managers do nothing so they follow the example!
This is where i see the major problem with Gov’t plus they all need to be ‘fire at will employee’s under working watchdog management’ no phony degree NEEDED!
You let me get in the right position over these enties & agencies management will be replace ASAP & lose their retirement cause of this useless pratice!

I was a voluteer during the Vietnam war in the USAF all these so-called programs Through-out the years nevered benifited the Veterans directly, just the organizations putting on the act!!!
